Fall Festival

This weekend was our local Fall Festival. Of course, I had a booth there for my Mary Kay business. Our overall turn out was pretty good. I displayed a spa basket that I made up for a drawing incentative to get new names. There is another lady in town that also sells Mary Kay and we are really good friends so we did the booth together. Between the both of us we walked away with 3 or 4 bookings and 30-40 new names.

All-in-all, it turned out pretty good. Now, I have to get my butt on the phone and call those ladies to get bookings. YIKES!!!

Off to work I go!!

What do you say when you call? I am collecting "scripts" for my unit as 'one size does not fit all'! I know the most difficult part in doing a booth is generally the follow up, so I am trying to make it a little easier for everyone ;)

I don't know for sure. I have a couple scripts that I have come up with.

Following up is the hardest part of all of it. But I have to do it, there have been to many times that I have just let them fall to the waist side.

I am going to say something to the extent of:

Hi_____, this is MKheart with MK cosmetics and I met you the other day at the Westphalia Fall Festival. You did not win the spa basket but you did win a $10 gift certificate with MK and a complimentary facial with me!! When would you like to get together for your complimentary facial and redeem your $10 gift certificate? I have Tuesday night and Saturday open. Which works best with you?"

It is pretty vague but it is a start.

I just got this from a director friend and have been using it with pretty good success:

Hi_______ this is _______ calling with Mary Kay.

Do you have a minute? (Or, I personally use: Are you interruptable?)

Great! The reason I am calling is to let you know that I drew your name as one of my winners from the (.....)

Congratulations!

You won a ($) gift certificate with me, so what I'd like to do is find a time for us to get together so I can give you a facial and let you pick out what you'd like, do evenings or weekends usually work best for you? (give her choices until she picks something)

Great.

Okay, so I have you down for (date) at (time). I'll give you a call the day before just to confirm with you and see if you have anyone coming with you. (when you call get her friend's #'s so you can pre-profile.


I have more success when I don't say something like: you weren't my big winner, but you did win.....

I love that script too. I agree with not saying "you were not my big winner but...."

Please let us know how it goes! I am doing a booth thing at the end of the month and will use that script myself for the follow up:)
